The hills
The Hills is the kind of place where you can drop in for a quick lunch, an evening cocktail, or a relaxed three-course dinner with friends. Whatever time of day you arrive, you’re always welcome at The Hills.
Our food
Our head chef, Lelle Rössler, has worked in some of Stockholm’s finest kitchens, including Sturehof, Lydmar Hotel, and Bistro Berns. His culinary philosophy is rooted in the rustic French kitchen tradition. The menu is updated frequently to reflect the season, and you’ll always find the day’s dishes written on the chalkboard.
The art
At The Hills, we believe that what adorns the walls is almost as important as what’s on the plates. We invited architect and designer Jonas Bohlin (Sturehof, Rolfs Kök, Luzette) to create the interior, to which we’ve added some favorite works by, among others, Harland Miller, Marina Abramović, Gardar Eide Einarsson, Damien Hirst, Ragnar Persson, and Joakim Ojanen.
The Book
“The Hills, the restaurant, dates from a time when pigs were pigs and swine were swine…”
– The Hills, Chapter One.
Our restaurant takes it's name from a book by Norwegian author Matias Faldbakken. It tells the story of the drama unfolding beneath sparkling crystal chandeliers in a lively European restaurant, and the tales of its quirky waiters and regular guests.
A theme we know all too well!
